Norma Ziegler Designs

Norma is inspired by the natural beauty of her homeland of Cape Breton Island as well as the many years she lived on Vancouver Island, B.C. Her vision is to create jewellery pieces that are bold and dramatic with texturing as an important detail. Her travels throughout China and Europe have also influenced her style and these influences are frequently translated into Chinese symbols or Celtic Knots in her silver designs.

Handbound Books and Mosaic Work

A mistress of many mediums, Katherine's work is inspired by life and nature in the tiny Cape Breton fishing village she calls home. Her love of the ocean is expressed, these days, through one-of-a-kind hand-bound ocean journals and photo albums that incorporate her fine hand-dyed and printed papers. Katherine also currently produces decorative shell and beach glass mosaic frames from shells collected during her year-round walks along the island's wild and solitary beaches.

Marg MacNeil - Caper Glass Creations

Sisters Bonnie and Marg are the artisans at Caper Glass Creations who make glass come to life. They bring their own passion, creativity, and eye for colour and texture to glass-working techniques which have been used for thousands of years. Marg looks for interesting combinations of colour, texture and opacity when creating her custom fused glass artwork. She then re-fires the glass to mold it into a wide array of plates, bowls, candleholders, jewelry and more. Whether a custom or standard design, every item of glass is carefully handcrafted, making each a unique work of art that you and your family will treasure.

Carol Kennedy - Photographer

Award-winning Photographer Carol Kennedy lives and works on Cape Breton Island. Her photographs are in the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Cape Breton and Nova Scotia, the Art Banks of the Canada Council and Nova Scotia, the National Film Board, the Centre for Fine Art Photography, Colorado, and many priate collections. She has her own gallery at Ironart & Photographs on the Cabot Trail in St. Anns.

Gordon Kennedy - Sculptor

Gordon Kennedy creates artistic and functional forged iron work for the home and office, as well as fine art sculptures in various metals. His studio/forge is on the Cabot Trail in Tarbot at Ironart & Photographs.
